Norway Market Entry · LAKI AS
Enter Norway with confidence.
Not guesswork.
Senior advisory for companies establishing operations, partnerships or a market presence in Norway. 30 years of executive, board and operational experience in Norwegian business — available to you directly. $150 / hour.
The challenge with entering Norway
Norway looks straightforward on paper: high purchasing power, transparent institutions, an educated workforce. In practice, the hidden friction shows up fast.
- Norwegian business culture is relationship-first. Cold outreach rarely converts — the right introduction changes everything.
- Regulatory and procurement processes have unwritten rules that aren’t in any official guide.
- Labour law, board requirements and accounting obligations differ from most other countries — and the penalties for non-compliance arrive quietly.
- The market is small, which means reputation travels fast. A wrong first move is hard to undo.
Most of these obstacles aren’t knowledge problems. They’re judgment problems. The kind that 30 years of operating and sitting on boards in Norway gives you — and that no market report can replicate.
What I help you with
01
Market readiness assessment
Is Norway the right move, and is now the right time? I assess your product-market fit for the Norwegian context, identify the realistic obstacles and help you decide before you commit budget.
02
Entry strategy and go-to-market
Choosing between a direct subsidiary, a distributor, a local partner or an agent matters more in Norway than in most markets. I help you choose the right structure and build the plan behind it.
03
Partner and stakeholder introductions
I have a wide network across Norwegian business, telecom, professional services and the public sector. When a warm introduction opens the door, I make it. Outreach without context is wasted time in Norway.
04
Regulatory navigation and local compliance
From Brønnøysund registration to GDPR under Norwegian practice, board requirements and sector-specific regulations — I help you understand what applies to your structure and what to do first.
The Norway Readiness Report
If you want a structured starting point, I offer a fixed-scope deliverable: a written Norway Readiness Report tailored to your company and your specific entry scenario.
- Market and competitive overview — who is already in Norway, in your segment, and how they got there.
- Regulatory summary — key legal obligations relevant to your business model and structure.
- Cultural and relational factors — the unwritten rules that determine whether deals close or stall.
- Recommended entry path — one clear recommendation with rationale, not a menu of options.
- First 90 days — a concrete action list with sequencing and priorities.
Delivered in writing within 7 days of a briefing call. Fixed price: $800.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with companies from any country?
Yes. My work is not limited by where your company is based. I have worked with international clients across Europe, North America and beyond. Time zones are manageable — most of my advisory work happens over video calls and written deliverables.
What industries do you know best?
Telecom, technology, professional services and consulting. I also have board-level experience relevant to any sector that requires structured governance. Outside these, I will tell you upfront if someone else would serve you better.
Can you help with a specific research question, not a full engagement?
Yes. A single-hour call or a focused written answer is a legitimate engagement. You don’t need a multi-month retainer to get value from a conversation with someone who has spent decades in the market you’re entering.
What is the difference between this and the Norway Readiness Report?
The Readiness Report is a fixed-scope deliverable: a structured written assessment of your specific entry scenario, delivered in 7 days for $800. Advisory hours are flexible — used for calls, introductions, reviewing documents or working through a specific decision. Most clients start with the report, then continue with advisory hours as the engagement develops.
Can you make introductions to potential Norwegian partners?
Yes, when I believe it serves both sides. I will not make an introduction unless I think there is a genuine fit — my network is built on trust, not transaction. If I don’t know the right person, I will tell you that too.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Standard mutual NDA is fine. I typically receive confidential business information as part of advisory work, and I treat it accordingly.
